How to Wear Work Clothes to a Night Out

Too busy to go home after work to change for a girls’ night out? No sweat.

Whatever clothes you wear to work can be tweaked and updated for a night out. If you have plans of going out tonight, wear a top or bottom that you can rework later on to keep you just as savvy when you’re out and ready to party.

Daywear can instantly become nightlife-worthy if you know how to work it.

Office outfit:

work wear

  • A satin shirt in a neutral color is toned down enough for work hours while having the potential of becoming a great canvass for your nighttime outfit.
  • Wear your usual black pants and shoes, accessorizing with edgy but work-appropriate pieces such as an interesting brooch, a string of pearls, and a few earth-toned bangles.

Evening garb:

  • Come nighttime, ditch the pants and wear a shimmery skirt instead. To keep your outfit interesting, opt for a skirt with prints or texture.
  • Pile up on accessories. It’s time to up the ante! Wear a statement neckpiece that goes with your pearls. Don’t forget your dangling earrings – they give your outfit a ready-to-party vibe.
  • Add a splash of color by wearing blue satin stilettos.

  • If you need to crank things up one more notch, wear a high-sheen jacket. Instead of a shimmery skirt, go for a black mini to balance your look.

To help your wardrobe go a mile longer, always remember to reuse and recycle. Style, after all, is about knowing what to do with everything you have.
